A three tier Mihrab, Minbar and Speech section constructed from MDF. This is another bespoke design we created for our client which utilises LED’s to create some really stunning visual aesthetics. We also provided a storage cabinet with in-built lighting for storage as well as a platform and basic Minbar.
All panels have been sent to a professional painting company who start by laying two coats of primer and then finishing up with two coats of finish colour. These finishes provide a scratch and scruff proof layer of protection which if accidentally marked can easily be wiped off. This will provide a lasting clean look for many years to come.
The two smaller arches on the right and left have ‘Ya Rab-ul-Aalameen’ and ‘Ya Rahmatal-il-Aalameen’ written in Kufi script. These are illuminated by machining acrylic panels so they push through the face of the MDF board which will not only allow the face of the letters to be illuminated but also the sides. This is a very tedious and time consuming task, but this provides a very sharp illuminated panel that really makes a beautiful impact. The verses surrounding the arch are bespoke and per our client request. We added a subtle touch of lighting to highlight the Thuluth calligraphy.
Created using a solid timber frame and dense MDF, this is a well built Mihrab that will last for decades.
